Chris is the owner and head engineer of Work It Bird Studios, specializing in studio recording and post-production for music, commercials, films, and documentaries. Based inside Coupe Studios in Boulder, Colorado, Chris works with artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creators to bring their ideas to life through thoughtful production, technical precision, and a collaborative creative process.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Chris moved to Colorado in 2003 to pursue his passion for sound. He studied Audio Production at the Art Institute of Colorado before earning a Master’s degree in Recording Arts and Post-Production from UC Denver.

With years of experience as a performing musician, live sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist—especially on drums and percussion—Chris brings a musician’s ear and instinct to every session. His background as both an artist and engineer allows him to approach recording with creativity, adaptability, and an understanding of what musicians need to feel comfortable and inspired in the studio.

In addition to his studio work, Chris continues to perform regularly with bands throughout Colorado’s Front Range, including the Antonio Lopez Band, Mackenzie Rae and Buckshot Moon, Teresa Storch Band, and Meniskus.
